Discovering Natz-Schabs

Naz-Sciaves is located on a sunny plateau near Bressanone, at the crossroads of the Isarco Valley and the Pusteria Valley, in the area known as the apple plateau. Every year, delicious varieties of apples are grown here, which take center stage in numerous local events. Among the most anticipated are the Royal Bloom Festival in spring and the Apple Week in autumn, where nature and tradition blend in a burst of colors and flavors. Don’t miss the Cultural and Delicacies Week and the traditional Törggelen, where guests can taste new wine, chestnuts, and other typical South Tyrolean products, offering an authentic local food and wine experience.

The Naz-Sciaves plateau is a perfect destination for outdoor hiking lovers. Its sunny position offers a unique spectacle in spring during the flowering of the orchards, while numerous trails, also suitable for nordic walking, lead to the typical mountain farms scattered around. The villages of Naz-Sciaves preserve an atmosphere of ancient traditions and rural life, providing visitors with a vacation immersed in lush, uncontaminated nature, among local festivals and historic villages. Natural highlights include the Köstental chestnut grove in Aica with its fitness trail and the Raier Moos biotope in Rasa, true paradises for nature enthusiasts.

In winter, Naz-Sciaves enjoys a strategic location near the main ski resorts such as Gitschberg-Maranza, Jochtal-Valles, and Plose-Bressanone, perfect for those who want to ski without giving up the tranquility of the plateau.

From a historical and cultural perspective, Naz-Sciaves offers interesting attractions such as the Rudolf Bacher Museum and the late Gothic parish churches of Saint Philip and Saint James in Naz, and Saint Margaretha in Sciaves, treasures that tell the rich local history.
