Discovering Forcola dei Campanili

Forcola dei Campanili is one of the jewels of the Latemar, a dolomitic amphitheater of towers and pinnacles that offers spectacular scenery and an authentic alpine atmosphere. Here, nature, trekking, and Trentino culture come together: from rock faces sculpted by time to high-altitude huts, every detail tells the story of the Dolomites in their purest essence.

Among the most popular routes is the loop starting from Malga Pampeago: a challenging hike for experts (EE grade) that reaches the Forcella dei Campanili at 2,620 m, passing by the Rifugio Torre di Pisa and following trails 22–516. The descent from the Forcella del Forcellone (2,560 m) over a steep scree slope requires caution but rewards hikers with breathtaking views over the Passo Costalunga and the enchanting Lago di Carezza.

The area is perfect for those seeking active holidays: trekking, nature photography, and geological wonders among stone spires and rocky corridors. In summer, hiking dominates; in autumn, the slanting light enhances shapes and colors; in winter, the nearby valleys offer snowshoeing and ski mountaineering.
