Discovering Lago di Tovel

The Lago di Tovel, nestled in the heart of the Adamello Brenta Nature Park, is one of the most enchanting gems of Trentino. Located at 1,178 meters above sea level in the Val di Non, this alpine lake is famous for the extraordinary purity of its waters and its colors ranging from turquoise to emerald green. Surrounded by dense forests and the imposing Brenta Dolomites, it is a must-visit destination for lovers of unspoiled nature.

Also known as the "Red Lake" due to a natural phenomenon that once colored it red during summer (no longer active), Lago di Tovel still preserves its mystical and wild charm. It is easily accessible on foot, by shuttle, or by bike during the warmer months.

A comfortable circular trail runs around the lake, suitable for everyone, allowing visitors to admire the views from every angle. Along the path, there are picnic areas, panoramic viewpoints, and the ancient Maso Villa, now the headquarters of the Park Visitor Center. It’s the perfect place for hiking, nature photography, birdwatching, or simply relaxing by the water.
