Egelsbacherscharte is a wild and scenic alpine pass located in the municipality of Gais, in South Tyrol, at an altitude of 2,480 meters, in the heart of the Tures and Aurina Dolomites. Ideal for experienced hikers, it offers an immersive experience in pristine nature and breathtaking landscapes.

This mountain pass connects the area of Egelsbach (Monte Peloso Farms) with the upper valleys, offering stunning views of surrounding peaks like the Große Windschar and Bramstaller, popular destinations for trekking and mountaineering. The trail leading to the pass winds through larch forests, alpine meadows, and rocky sections, providing a challenging yet rewarding route for lovers of authentic mountain adventures.

Nearby, picturesque villages such as Kematen and Uttenheim invite visitors to discover South Tyrolean culture, with rural architecture, Ladin traditions, and local cuisine.
