Discovering Selva di Cadore

Located in the charming Val Fiorentina, Selva di Cadore is a renowned summer and winter tourist destination, nestled among the most iconic peaks of the UNESCO Dolomites. The ski lifts departing from Pescul allow visitors to reach Cima Fertazza (2,101 m) in all seasons, one of the most spectacular viewpoints in the area. Here you’ll find the Ristoro Belvedere, a must-stop for hikers, skiers and bikers, and the scenic wooden sculpture of the "Cervo del Fertazza", created by artist Marco Martalar.

In summer, Selva is the ideal starting point for hiking, mountain bike trails, via ferratas, and sections of the Alta Via No.1, while in winter it belongs to the Ski Civetta ski area, connected with Alleghe and Val di Zoldo, within the Dolomiti Superski network.

Cultural attractions include the Church of Santa Fosca, a 15th-century Alpine Gothic jewel with wooden works by Andrea Brustolon, and the Vittorino Cazzetta Museum, home to unique finds such as the Mesolithic skeleton of the Mondeval Man and dinosaur footprints from Mount Pelmetto.

The area also offers welcoming mountain huts and alpine pastures: Malga Pien de Vacia, Fontanafreda, Rifugio Sabe, and Aquileia.
