Discovering Tesero
Tesero, the sporting and cultural heart of Val di Fiemme, is a destination appreciated both in summer and winter. It is especially known for its Lago di Tesero Nordic Ski Center, which hosted three Nordic World Ski Championships (1991, 2003, 2013), and for its proximity to the Ski Center Latemar on the Alpe di Pampeago, offering about 40 km of slopes. Tesero is an ideal place for winter sports enthusiasts. During the Christmas period, the village comes alive with the evocative event "Tesero and its Nativity Scenes," attracting visitors from beyond the region: dozens of handcrafted nativity scenes decorate the streets, while in Piazza Cesare Battisti you can admire a life-size nativity faithfully reproducing local architecture.
In summer, Tesero is the perfect starting point for nordic walking lovers, thanks to the Fiemme Vitality Park, the first park dedicated to this discipline in Trentino. The park offers nine routes totaling 57 km, situated between 900 and 1,200 meters in altitude, with two convenient starting bases: Lago di Tesero and the valley station of the Alpe Cermis lifts. Besides nordic walking, the area is perfect for hiking and mountain biking tours, with numerous trails immersed in nature. The Lago di Tesero is also popular for sport fishing and offers a peaceful environment to relax after a day outdoors. Horse riding and climbing courses are also available at the nearby Stava sports center.
Tesero will be a key venue for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympics, hosting all the Olympic cross-country skiing events and the Paralympic cross-country skiing and biathlon competitions at the modern Fabio Canal Cross-Country and Biathlon Center. With illuminated technical tracks and state-of-the-art facilities, Tesero confirms its role as one of Italy’s capitals for nordic sports, ready to offer an unforgettable Olympic experience.
