Discovering Faver

Faver, a picturesque village in the Val di Cembra in Trentino, is located at 673 meters above sea level at the foot of Monte Avvoltoio. Thanks to its mild climate, Faver is ideal for cultivating fine grapes used in the production of high-quality Trentino wines and artisanal grappas, including the renowned Müller Thurgau grappa.

The historic center preserves the traditional Cembran urban layout, with stone houses, narrow alleys, and charming covered passages known as "frone." The village is traditionally divided into the districts of Cort and Vich, each with its own square and fountain, once governed by different noble families: Cort by the Lords of Monreale and Vich by the Lords of Segonzano Castle.

Faver lies along the historic Dürer Route, a cultural itinerary that retraces the journey of German painter Albrecht Dürer through the valley, offering unique views of the Segonzano Pyramids, one of Trentino’s most fascinating geological formations. Notable landmarks include the Church of Saints Philip and James, the historic Tabarelli Fatis House, and several local distilleries where ancient production techniques are still practiced.

Surrounded by terraced vineyards, forests, and scenic trails, Faver is perfect for hiking, wine tastings, and slow tourism. It’s a place where rural heritage, the art of distillation, and historical memory come together in an authentic experience at the heart of the Trentino Dolomites.
