Discovering Tenna

Tenna is a quiet village in Trentino, lying on a green hill shaped like a horse’s back, between Lake Caldonazzo and Lake Levico. Thanks to its privileged location, it offers stunning views over the Valsugana and the two lakes, making it an ideal destination for those who love nature, history, and relaxation.

In the heart of the village you will find a peaceful park and a welcoming atmosphere, with hotels and apartments perfect for a relaxing stay. At the top of the hill lies the Alberè pine forest, a charming spot for walks surrounded by the scents of nature.

Among the main attractions is the Forte di Tenna, built in the 19th century by the Austrians as part of the defensive line to control the passage between Trentino and Veneto. The fort overlooks Lake Caldonazzo and the Valsugana valley. In the village centre, the Roman milestone recalls the passage of the ancient Via Claudia Augusta, the 517 km-long Roman road that once connected Altino near Venice to Donauwörth in Bavaria.

Other highlights include the Church of San Valentino and the panoramic views along the surrounding paths. Tenna is the perfect starting point to explore the lakes, the Valsugana, and the mountains of Trentino, combining culture, history, and unspoiled nature.
