Discovering Passo di Stalle
At 2,052 meters above sea level, Stalle Pass is a hidden gem in the mountains, on the border between South Tyrol and Eastern Tyrol. This mountain pass connects the Antholz Valley in the province of Bolzano with the Defereggen Valley in Austria, offering a unique experience for hikers, cyclists, and lovers of Alpine nature.
Accessible from late May to late October (weather permitting), the pass can be reached via a scenic one‑way panoramic road that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks, Alpine meadows, and the Lake Antholz, one of the most beautiful in South Tyrol.
At the top, you’ll find an unspoiled landscape: wide green expanses, marked trails for all levels, and mountain huts serving traditional Tyrolean cuisine. It's perfect for day hikes, mountain bike tours, or simply relaxing and breathing the pure mountain air.
Stalle Pass is also a starting point to explore the Ries-Aurina Nature Park, where Alpine flora and fauna reveal their true character. From marmots and ibex to golden eagles, every visit is an immersion in authentic nature.
An ideal destination for those seeking peace, beauty, and harmony in the heart of the Alp
