Discovering Rivamonte Agordino

Rivamonte Agordino, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of the Belluno Dolomites, is an authentic mountain village that captivates visitors with its wild beauty, deep-rooted traditions, and rich mining heritage. Located in the Cordevole Valley, just a few kilometers from Agordo, the village is surrounded by forests, streams, and dramatic peaks such as Mount Agner and the Pale di San Lucano Group.

The cultural and historical heart of Rivamonte is the Valle Imperina Mines, one of the most important mining sites in the Veneto region, active since the Middle Ages for copper extraction. Today, the area is part of the Belluno Dolomites National Park and features a visitor center, educational trails, and thematic exhibitions that recount the lives of miners and the evolution of the mining industry. The Uomini di Imperina Trail is a scenic and informative route connecting the village to the mines, offering breathtaking views and interpretive stops.

Rivamonte retains its authentic alpine atmosphere, with the Church of Saint Florian, historic buildings, and a network of hiking trails leading to Casera Armarol, mountain pastures, and ancient beech forests - ideal for trekking, snowshoeing, and nature walks.
