Discovering Forcella Lavaretta

The Forcella Lavaretta is a charming mountain pass in the Schiara Group, in the heart of the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park, at about 1,718 meters above sea level. Located along the famous Alta Via no. 1 of the Dolomites, this pass is one of the most panoramic and fascinating points of the area, offering spectacular views over the city of Belluno, the Venetian plain, and, behind, the majestic peaks of the Schiara.

The hike to reach the Forcella Lavaretta is much loved by mountain enthusiasts: the trails wind through beech and fir forests, alpine meadows, and rocky stretches, providing breathtaking views at every step. It is often crossed by those heading to the Rifugio 7° Alpini or Rifugio Bianchet, two historic destinations for hikers in Belluno, but it is also accessible through day itineraries for those who want to enjoy a day of trekking immersed in nature.
