Discovering Don

Located at 973 meters above sea level, Don is a charming village in the municipality of Amblar-Don, nestled in the heart of Upper Val di Non, in Trentino-Alto Adige. Set on a scenic moraine plateau at the foot of Monte Roen, Don is surrounded by apple orchards, conifer forests, and breathtaking views of the Mendola Ridge and the Brenta Dolomites.

The village is an ideal starting point for hiking and trekking toward Monte Roen, the San Romedio Sanctuary, and the picturesque Three Mills Trail, which connects Don to Cavareno. In winter, the area offers routes for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, while summer is perfect for panoramic walks, mountain biking, and outdoor activities.

Culturally, Don preserves its alpine heritage through landmarks like Casa Endrici, birthplace of Celestino Endrici, the last prince-archbishop of Trento, and the Church of Santa Brigida, which houses 18th-century artworks. The village is divided into four historic districts: Villa di Sopra, Villa di Mezzo, Villa di Sotto, and Brusadi.
