Discovering Mezzocorona

Mezzocorona, the heart of the Piana Rotaliana, is a gem of Trentino that blends nature, culture, and a deep-rooted winemaking tradition. Surrounded by well-tended vineyards, it is the homeland of Teroldego Rotaliano DOC, known as the “prince of Trentino wines,” produced by renowned wineries such as Mezzacorona, Rotari, and Dorigati, all open for tastings and guided tours.

The village is towered over by the dramatic Monte di Mezzocorona, accessible via one of the steepest cable cars in Europe, or through spectacular hiking routes like the Burrone Giovanelli via ferrata and the SAT 500 trail. At the summit, a scenic skywalk and suspended bridge offer breathtaking views over the Adige Valley, with paths leading to Malga Kraun and the Castel San Gottardo, set directly into the rock.
