Discovering Hafling

Located on a sunny plateau above the Merano basin, Avelengo (Hafling) is a charming gem in South Tyrol, renowned worldwide as the home of the Haflinger horses. Nordic walking enthusiasts can explore the Walking Parc Verano‑Avelengo, with seven well-marked routes. On a mountain bike or a horse, every path becomes a unique experience.

In winter, Avelengo transforms into a welcoming resort for snow sports. Just above the village, the Merano 2000 ski area offers sunny slopes, modern lifts and many activities for the whole family.
