Discovering Monclassico
Monclassico is a charming mountain village in the heart of the Val di Sole, set in a beautiful panoramic position overlooking the Brenta Group within the Adamello-Brenta Nature Park. Just a few minutes from the ski resorts of Folgarida-Marilleva and Madonna di Campiglio, it’s an ideal destination for those who love nature, sports and relaxation.
Together with its hamlet Presson, Monclassico has about 1,000 inhabitants who live from tourism, craftsmanship and apple cultivation, a symbol of the valley. The surrounding area offers numerous hiking and cycling trails through pristine nature and alpine scenery. Sports enthusiasts can also enjoy tennis, football and bowling courts in the village.
In summer, don’t miss a dip in the biolake of Monclassico, a natural swimming pool purified by plants and microorganisms instead of chemicals like chlorine. The area also features a playground and a bar, perfect for families and relaxation. In winter, ski lovers can easily reach the slopes of Marilleva, Folgarida and Madonna di Campiglio.
The historic center is worth a visit, with noble houses, the Church of San Vigilio adorned with wooden and marble altars, and old frescoed buildings. A curiosity: one of the most beautiful Trentino stube comes from Monclassico and is now preserved at the Tiroler Volkskunstmuseum in Innsbruck.
A genuine place to experience the true essence of Val di Sole, among nature, tradition and breathtaking mountain views.
