Discovering Denno
Nestled at 429 meters above sea level in the Lower Anaunia, Denno is one of the most historic and vibrant villages in the Val di Non, surrounded by lush apple orchards and alpine forests. Thanks to its panoramic location between the Rocchetta gorge and the Cles plateau, Denno enjoys a favorable climate that makes it renowned for the cultivation of high-quality apples and pears, among the finest in Trentino.
The village boasts a rich historical heritage: the Castle of Denno, dating back to the 13th century, overlooks the valley and houses a museum dedicated to local history. The Church of San Martino, with Renaissance frescoes and a Baroque altar, is a 15th-century architectural gem. The Provincial Ethnographic Museum showcases rural life and traditional crafts of the region.
Nature lovers can explore the Denno Waterfall Trail, a scenic route through greenery leading to picturesque waterfalls—perfect for hiking and trekking. Nearby medieval castles such as Castel Belasi, Castel Thun, Castel Corona, and San Pietro enrich the area's cultural offerings.
Denno welcomes visitors with authentic hospitality, farm stays, B&Bs, and typical restaurants, where guests can enjoy Trentino cuisine and experience local traditions. It’s the ideal destination for a Dolomites holiday filled with nature, history, and genuine flavours.
