Discovering Tassullo
In the heart of the Val di Non, surrounded by apple orchards and mountains, Tassullo is a small gem of Trentino, known for its authenticity. This peaceful village, now part of the municipality of Ville d’Anaunia, boasts a rich historical and cultural heritage, perfect for those seeking slow tourism, beauty and silence.
Among the most precious landmarks is the Church of San Vigilio, a masterpiece of Gothic art with 15th-century frescoes by Giovanni and Battista Baschenis. Nearby, the Church of Santa Maria Assunta sits on a panoramic hill offering stunning views over the valley.
Nature lovers can explore trails through woods and farmland, discover hidden canyons and lakes, or cycle along the Val di Non Cycle Path—a safe, scenic route on mixed asphalt and gravel, perfect for discovering the valley freely. It includes easy sections ideal for the whole family.
A scenic hiking destination is Malga Tassulla, located in the nearby Val Nana. Reached in about 45 minutes from Lake Durigal, this charming mountain hut lies in an open meadow and serves as a starting point for alpine routes. One of the most popular leads to Rifugio Peller, continuing to peaks like Monte Peller and Pian de la Nana.
Tassullo is also the perfect base to visit Castel Valer, one of the best-preserved castles in Trentino. A place where mountains, nature, culture, and tradition meet.
