Discovering Roncone

With about 1,400 inhabitants, Roncone is the largest village and the municipal seat of the new Sella Giudicarie municipality in Trentino. Located at 840 meters above sea level, the village stretches along the gentle slopes on the right side of the Valle del Chiese, surrounded by forests and meadows that highlight its Alpine charm. Dominated by the towered bell of the Baroque parish church of St. Stephen, Roncone preserves valuable wooden furnishings and altars, as well as a beautiful 18th-century painting of the Assumption.
