Discovering Bersone

Bersone, now a hamlet of the municipality of Valdaone, is a small village in the Valle del Chiese, perfect for a slow holiday among nature, history, and Alpine traditions. Located at 637 meters in a charming basin known as the Busa, at the foot of the Adamello Brenta Nature Park, it offers a peaceful and authentic atmosphere in the heart of Trentino.

The historic center preserves the typical Giudicarie layout, spread across a moraine terrace around the square with its large granite fountain, surrounded by houses with granite portals, wrought-iron grilles, and traditional arcades that reflect the rural architecture of the valley. Walking through its alleys reveals picturesque corners and artisanal details that keep the character of the village alive.

A must-see is the Church of Saints Fabian and Sebastian, of medieval origin and rebuilt in neoclassical style in the 19th century, which houses a 17th-century altarpiece dedicated to Saint Sebastian. The granite bell tower beside it defines the village skyline.

Bersone also serves as a gateway to nature: from here, excursions lead to the Boniprati plateau, with easy panoramic loops through beech woods, meadows, and pastures, suitable even for families.

Between its cultural heritage, Alpine traditions, and proximity to the Adamello Brenta Nature Park, Bersone is an ideal destination for those seeking authentic experiences, outdoor activities, and the flavors of the Valle del Chiese.
