Discovering Praso

Nestled in the charming Valle del Chiese, in the heart of the Giudicarie, Praso is a small Alpine village that captivates visitors with its authenticity and traditional Trentino architecture. Stone houses with double-pitched shingle roofs, granite portals, and wrought-iron railings reflect the deep connection between the community and its mountain heritage.

Among the main points of interest is the Church of San Pietro, of medieval origin, located on the eastern edge of the village overlooking the basin of Pieve di Bono. Nearby lies Sevror, a historic hamlet considered the oldest part of the area, where you can visit the Church of San Rocco, dating back to 1530 and adorned with 18th-century frescoes and elegant stuccoes.

History enthusiasts will be intrigued by Forte Corno, an Austro-Hungarian fortress from World War I, part of the defensive system of the Lardaro barrier. For hikers, Praso serves as an excellent starting point to explore the nearby Val di Daone, with its scenic trails, waterfalls, and alpine huts surrounded by pristine nature.
