Discovering Ragoli

Nestled in the heart of the Giudicarie Esteriori, at around 800 meters above sea level, Ragoli - a hamlet of the municipality of Tre Ville - is a Trentino village that blends cultural heritage, untouched landscapes, and direct access to the Adamello Brenta Nature Park. Located on the left bank of the Sarca River, at the foot of Mount Irone (1,864 m), Ragoli enjoys a mild climate and a strategic position at the entrance to the Val d’Algone.

The village is renowned for its open-air art gallery, with over 100 murals created by international artists adorning the façades of homes, turning Ragoli into a living canvas. The town also preserves important historical traces, such as the black marble quarries, once used in churches and bell towers, and the Church of Saint Faustinus, featuring wrought iron gates and frescoes by the Baschenis family in the cemetery chapel.

Ragoli is crossed by the San Vili Trail, a historic route linking Trento to Spiazzo Rendena. From here, hikers can explore Val d’Algone, rich in legends, alpine wildlife, and UNESCO-recognized geosites. Trails lead to centuries-old mountain huts like Movlina, to Lake Val d’Agola, and to the Rifugio XII Apostoli, with its chapel carved into the rock.

The village is part of the ancient Spinale and Manez Common Rule, a civic institution that has managed communal lands for centuries. Events such as the Fire Festival and seasonal fairs celebrating local products bring the village to life throughout the year.
