Discovering Passo del Redebus
Passo del Redebus, located at 1,455 meters above sea level in southeastern Trentino, is a mountain pass that connects the Piné Plateau with the enchanting Valle dei Mocheni, a land of Germanic traditions and pristine landscapes. Surrounded by coniferous forests and porphyry peaks, the pass is an ideal starting point for scenic hikes, loop treks, and outdoor activities in every season.
From Passo del Redebus, numerous trails branch out, including the challenging route to Monte Ruioch and Dosso di Costalta, offering spectacular views of the Brenta Dolomites, Paganella, and Monte Bondone. The path passes through alpine huts such as Malga Stramaiolo and Malga Pontara, perfect for a culinary break immersed in nature. Along the way, hikers encounter historical landmarks like the Sentiero dei Russi, a trail created by Austro-Hungarian prisoners during World War I.
