Discovering Lago di Ledro
The Lake Ledro, at 655 meters above sea level and just a few kilometers from Riva del Garda, is one of the most beautiful and clean lakes in Trentino. With its elongated shape and 10 km circumference, it is perfect for walks and bike rides surrounded by nature. Its crystal-clear waters, which in summer reach 24 degrees, invite you to swim, go sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, or simply relax on the four public beaches: Pieve, Molina, Mezzolago, and Pur, the latter also pet friendly.
Lake Ledro is not only about nature but also about history: in 1929, during the construction of the hydroelectric plant of Riva del Garda, an ancient pile-dwelling village from the Bronze Age emerged. Today, in Molina, you can visit the Pile-Dwelling Museum, part of the UNESCO World Heritage, which offers fascinating reconstructions and educational activities for adults and children.
Around the lake, you will find villages such as Pieve di Ledro, Molina di Ledro, Mezzolago, and Pur, where you can enjoy the authentic Trentino hospitality and taste local specialties like potato polenta, mountain cheeses, and traditional desserts.
Surrounded by mountains and forests, Lake Ledro is the ideal starting point for hikes and bike tours, as well as for exploring the surroundings, from the Val Concei to nearby Lake Garda. A perfect destination in every season, combining relaxation, sports, nature, and culture.
