Discovering Laghestel

The Laghestel di Piné, located on the scenic Piné Plateau, is one of the most valuable natural areas in Trentino. It is a protected biotope that preserves a wetland of about 6,000 m², an ideal habitat for numerous species of flora and fauna. This small body of water, surrounded by conifer forests and peat bogs, is a perfect destination for those who love slow tourism, birdwatching, and nature photography.

The loop trail crossing the Laghestel Nature Reserve is flat, well-marked, and suitable for everyone, including families with children. The itinerary starts from the center of Baselga di Piné, passes by the panoramic Church of Vigo, and leads to the heart of the reserve, where information panels explain the geological and environmental history of the site. Another convenient access is from the Ferrari area, where a one-hour loop immersed in greenery begins.

Laghestel is not only about nature but also culture: in the surrounding area, visitors can explore traditional villages, discover local folklore, and taste typical products such as honey, berries, and alpine cheeses. Each season offers a different atmosphere: autumn colors, spring blossoms, and winter tranquility.
