Discovering Scena

Scena is a location immersed in lush greenery, ideal for those seeking a relaxing break away from everyday chaos. The mild and sunny climate for most of the year favors the growth of vineyards, orchards, chestnut trees, and red firs, which blend harmoniously with the bright green of meadows and pastures. This natural setting makes Scena a perfect place to regenerate body and mind, while offering a wide range of activities for every type of traveler.

Located at the entrance of the Val Passiria, not far from the lively town of Merano, Scena lies at the foot of Punta Cervina and Monte Ivigna, in an area rich with hiking trails of various levels and durations. From easy routes among the orchards to challenging high mountain hikes, every trekking enthusiast can find their ideal challenge. Among the most fascinating paths are the Waalwege, ancient trails along irrigation canals, perfect for panoramic walks accessible all year round. The Waalweg of Verdins and the Waalweg of Maia are must-see stops to immerse yourself in local history and nature. For lovers of nordic walking, Scena’s Nature Fitness Park offers routes designed to tone the body in a refreshing natural environment.

If you seek strong emotions, Scena offers a wide range of dynamic sports activities such as horse riding, fishing, canoeing, tennis, paragliding, and rafting. Cyclists will find numerous mountain bike routes suitable for all levels, from easy trails along the Passirio stream to more demanding high-altitude paths.

Beyond nature and sport, Scena boasts a rich cultural history and a gastronomic tradition reflected in numerous popular and religious festivals. Not to be missed is a visit to Scena Castle, home to a museum about Tyrolean history with original furniture and paintings, and the Mausoleum, a neogothic masterpiece and one of the most valuable in the region.
