Discovering Santo Stefano di Cadore

In the heart of the Upper Comelico Valley, where the Piave River meets the Padola Stream, lies Santo Stefano di Cadore, an alpine village surrounded by the majestic Sesto Dolomites. Nestled among forests, valleys, and mountains, it’s an ideal destination for those seeking nature, tranquility, and an authentic experience, in every season.

In summer, Santo Stefano is the perfect starting point for hikes, trekking routes, and scenic walks. From the nearby Val Visdende, described by Pope John Paul II as “a cathedral of wood and stone,” countless trails lead through pristine landscapes, suitable for both families and experienced hikers. Other recommended areas include the Frison Valley, the Monte Zovo pastures, and routes for mountain biking and e-biking, such as the Comelico Valley cycle path.
