Discovering San Bernardo

In the heart of Val di Rabbi, at an altitude of 1,095 meters, lies San Bernardo, the main hamlet of the municipality of Rabbi (TN). Nestled within the enchanting landscape of the Stelvio National Park, this village is one of the most authentic destinations for those seeking a mountain holiday focused on relaxation, unspoiled nature, and Alpine culture.

San Bernardo is the ideal starting point for exploring the Valorz Valley, with its spectacular waterfalls, traditional Alpine farmsteads, and the renowned Valorz Trail, perfect for scenic hikes and rejuvenating walks. Not to be missed is the open-air Kneipp path, the first of its kind in Trentino, which harnesses the properties of mountain water to promote physical and mental well-being.

The village also preserves a rich historical and artistic heritage: the Parish Church of San Bernardo, built between 1957 and 1959 by architect Efrem Ferrari, features frescoes by Carlo Bonacina, 17th-century works by Elia Naurizio, and a baptismal font dating back to 1513. Its Alpine architecture, with stone houses and sloping roofs, tells the story of a community rooted in transhumance and local craftsmanship.
