Discovering Samone

Nestled in the green amphitheater at the foot of the Rava Group, the village of Samone (TN) is a hidden gem of Eastern Trentino, perfect for a relaxing holiday surrounded by nature. Located at 673 meters above sea level, Samone is surrounded by centuries-old chestnut groves and coniferous forests, offering scenic landscapes in every season and making it an ideal destination for hiking, walking and outdoor activities.

Thanks to its favorable position, Samone is renowned for the production of apples, chestnuts and berries, which enrich the local cuisine and inspire seasonal events such as the autumn harvest. The Chestnut Forest, with its monumental trees, is one of the most beloved natural attractions, especially in October when the foliage paints the landscape in warm tones and the chestnut tradition is celebrated.

The historic center preserves an authentic atmosphere, with stone houses, dry-stone walls and votive frescoes. Not to be missed is the Church of San Donato, dating back to the 15th century, which houses valuable Renaissance frescoes. Nearby, the Laresoti Park is perfect for relaxation and outdoor play.

Samone is also a great starting point for excursions to the Grumes Mountain Huts and the trails of the Lagorai Range, offering spectacular views and untouched nature. Farmhouses and mountain lodges provide genuine hospitality and authentic Trentino flavors.
