Discovering Trambileno

Located in the Valli del Leno, Trambileno is a mountain village in Trentino that preserves both unspoiled landscapes and unique historical heritage. The municipality includes 18 hamlets connected by scenic trails, offering numerous hiking opportunities.

From here, you can explore the mountains of the First World War, reaching panoramic peaks such as Col Santo, Monte Testo, Corno Battisti and the sacred area of Palon. One of the most important sites is Forte Pozzacchio – Werk Valmorbia, entirely carved into the rock and recently restored, which now stands as a powerful testimony of the Great War. Each year, commemorations take place here to honor the fallen.

Trambileno also offers fascinating spiritual sites. The Hermitage of San Colombano, perched dramatically above the Leno stream, is a must-see landmark easily spotted from the road leading up from Rovereto. Not far away lies the Sanctuary of the Madonna de la Salette, surrounded by a silent pine forest overlooking the valley.

For nature lovers, the Monte Testo tunnels near the Rifugio Lancia reveal rare dinosaur footprints. Thanks to its alpine pastures on Monte Pasubio and its wide network of trails, Trambileno is the beating heart of the Valli del Leno, an ideal starting point for excursions on foot or by mountain bike towards the neighboring villages of Terragnolo and Vallarsa.
