Discovering Bocca di Lorina

Bocca di Lorina, nestled in the mountains on the border between Trentino and the Alto Garda Bresciano, is a lesser-known but charming alpine pass located at around 1,431 meters above sea level. Set in a stunning natural environment between the slopes of Monte Tremalzo and the valleys of Tremosine, this natural saddle connects Val Lorina with the Malga Valesina area, offering an ideal setting for those who love authentic, peaceful mountains.

Surrounded by wild, untouched landscapes, Bocca di Lorina is easily accessible via the CAI Trail 444, part of the wider Ledro Alps Trek, which crosses some of the most beautiful areas of western Trentino. The trail offers breathtaking views, dense forests, alpine pastures, and ancient huts where nature reigns supreme.

A perfect destination for hikers, mountain bikers, and nature photographers, the pass also offers historical interest. The area is dotted with remnants of World War I, including trenches, lookout posts, and panoramic military paths.

From the nearby Malga Lorina, accessible by a pleasant walk, visitors enjoy sweeping views over the Alto Garda Bresciano Nature Park and, on clear days, even glimpses of Lake Garda. In summer, the cool air and lush environment make Bocca di Lorina perfect for escaping the heat, while autumn paints the landscape in vibrant foliage.
