Discovering Ala

Ala, a charming village in the Vallagarina valley, is one of the hidden gems of Trentino. Known as the "Velvet City" for its history of silk velvet production, Ala still retains a refined elegance, with its Baroque palaces, cobblestone streets, and noble historic residences.

A stroll through the historic center of Ala feels like a journey through time: painted facades, stone portals, and hidden courtyards tell stories of merchants and artists who made this place thrive centuries ago. Ala is one of the few Trentino villages awarded the Orange Flag by the Italian Touring Club.
