Discovering Forca degli Agnelli

Forca degli Agnelli is a mountain pass nestled in the heart of the Friulian Dolomites, in the province of Pordenone, at around 1,950 meters above sea level. Located within the Friulian Dolomites Natural Park, it’s a scenic and evocative destination, ideal for hikers seeking immersive trails in wild nature.

The pass is accessible via several routes, including the one starting from the Cantoniera della Presolana, passing through Malga Cassinelli, the Grotta dei Pagani, and the Rifugio Rino Olmo. The trail winds through scree slopes, conifer forests, and high-altitude meadows, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks and the Val Seriana basin.

The area is popular among hikers and nature photographers, thanks to the presence of alpine wildlife such as chamois, golden eagles, and marmots. Near the pass, you’ll find Baita Cornetto and Malga Campo, perfect for a break with traditional Friulian and Bergamasque specialties.

In winter, Forca degli Agnelli is ideal for snowshoeing and ski touring, offering a peaceful alternative to more crowded destinations. Its strategic location makes it a key junction along several trails of the CAI 315, promoting slow and sustainable tourism.
