Alla scoperta di Ortisei
Ortisei, incastonato nel cuore della Val Gardena, è uno dei borghi più affascinanti delle Dolomiti, celebre per la sua eleganza alpina, la tradizione artistica e l’offerta turistica d’eccellenza. Situato a 1.236 m s.l.m., è il centro principale della valle e punto di partenza ideale per escursioni verso il Seceda, il Monte Rasciesa, l’Alpe di Siusi e il Parco Naturale Puez-Odle, patrimonio UNESCO.
Il suo centro storico pedonale, considerato tra i più belli delle Dolomiti, è animato da boutique, caffè, ristoranti gourmet e botteghe artigiane. Ortisei è rinomato a livello internazionale per la scultura in legno, con una tradizione che risale al XVII secolo e che vive ancora oggi nei laboratori e nel Museum Gherdëina, custode della cultura ladina e delle opere di artisti locali come Luis Trenker e Josef Moroder-Lusenberg.
In inverno, Ortisei è collegato al comprensorio Dolomiti Superski, con accesso diretto al Sellaronda, mentre in estate offre una rete di sentieri panoramici, vie ferrate e percorsi tematici adatti a ogni livello. Le chiese storiche come quella di Sant’Ulrico, Sant’Antonio e San Giacomo arricchiscono il patrimonio spirituale e artistico del borgo.
Ortisei è anche sede di eventi culturali come la sfilata in costume ladino, mercatini e manifestazioni musicali che celebrano l’identità gardenese.
