Alla scoperta di Lago di Carezza
Situato a 1.520 metri di altitudine nel comune di Nova Levante, in Val d’Ega, il Lago di Carezza è uno dei gioielli naturali più fotografati dell’Alto Adige. Conosciuto anche come Karersee, è famoso per i suoi colori cangianti e per il riflesso perfetto del Latemar nelle sue acque smeraldine, alimentate da sorgenti sotterranee. Il lago è circondato da un sentiero ad anello di circa 1,3 km, accessibile a tutti, che consente una passeggiata immersiva tra boschi e scorci fiabeschi.
La leggenda locale narra di una ninfa, Ondina, e di uno stregone che, per conquistarla, creò un arcobaleno sopra il lago. Quando Ondina scoprì l’inganno, scomparve, e lo stregone gettò l’arcobaleno nelle acque: da allora, i suoi colori incantano ogni visitatore. Una statua in bronzo nel lago ne ricorda la storia.
Il Lago di Carezza è facilmente raggiungibile tramite la SS241 (Strada delle Dolomiti) e si trova vicino al Passo di Costalunga. Nei dintorni si possono esplorare il Latemar Labyrinth, il monumento a Theodor Christomannos, e numerosi sentieri escursionistici adatti a famiglie e appassionati di trekking. In inverno, l’area è parte del comprensorio sciistico Carezza Ski, ideale per sciatori principianti e famiglie.
