Alla scoperta di Gais
Gais, incantevole comune della Val Pusteria situato a 840 metri di altitudine, rappresenta la porta d'accesso alle Valli di Tures e Aurina nel cuore dell'Alto Adige. Questa pittoresca località altoatesina si distingue per il suo ricco patrimonio storico e la posizione privilegiata nel Parco Naturale Vedrette di Ries-Aurina.
Il borgo custodisce preziose testimonianze medievali, tra cui la chiesa parrocchiale di San Giovanni del XII secolo, considerata una delle più antiche del Tirolo, e il suggestivo Castello di Neuhaus, costruito tra il 1240 e il 1245, raggiungibile con una piacevole passeggiata di 20 minuti attraverso il bosco.
Gais offre numerose attività outdoor in ogni stagione: la Ciclabile della Valle Aurina attraversa il paese collegandolo a Campo di Tures, mentre il laghetto balneabile Baggalocke garantisce refrigerio estivo. Gli appassionati di trekking possono intraprendere escursioni verso la Cima del Vento (3.045 m) e altri sentieri delle Dolomiti.
In inverno, la località diventa base ideale per raggiungere le piste da sci di Plan de Corones e SkiWorld Ahrntal, oltre a offrire percorsi per sci di fondo, slittino ed escursioni con racchette da neve. L'atmosfera autentica del paese, con le sue tradizioni sudtirolesi e l'architettura tipica, rende Gais meta prediletta per chi cerca relax tra le montagne dell'Alto Adige.
