Alla scoperta di Passo di Vizze
Il Passo di Vizze (Pfitscher Joch) è il passo a 2.276 metri, al confine tra Italia e Austria, immerso nel cuore selvaggio delle Alpi della Zillertal. Questo valico alpino collega la Val di Vizze alla valle austriaca dello Zamser Grund, aprendo la via verso la suggestiva Zillertal.
Meta ideale per escursionisti e amanti della montagna autentica, il passo regala panorami mozzafiato e percorsi immersi nella natura incontaminata. Tra le mete più apprezzate c’è il lago artificiale Schlegeisspeicher, appena oltre il confine austriaco, facilmente raggiungibile a piedi dal passo. Qui sorge anche il rifugio Passo di Vizze, storico punto d’appoggio costruito nel 1888, oggi tappa per chi percorre i grandi itinerari transfrontalieri.
Dal passo si ammira il maestoso Gran Pilastro (3510 m), con le sue cascate spettacolari che scendono lungo il versante nord. L’accesso al passo avviene tramite una strada sterrata chiusa al traffico, tranne che per chi ottiene l’autorizzazione dalla stazione forestale di Vipiteno. Un recente parcheggio al 4° tornante segna il punto di partenza per chi desidera proseguire a piedi o in bici.
