Alla scoperta di Daone
Daone, tra i borghi più antichi delle Giudicarie, sorge all’imbocco della Val di Daone, porta d’accesso alla selvaggia Val di Fumo e al massiccio dell’Adamello. Il territorio è suggestivo e autentico, con castagneti secolari, malghe e grandi bacini idrici che disegnano un paesaggio alpino di forte carattere.
Il borgo custodisce testimonianze storiche di rilievo: la Chiesa di San Bartolomeo (circa anno Mille), il cui portico ospitava assemblee comunitarie nel XIV secolo, e in piazza il tronco monumentale dell’Avèz de Boaz, abete bianco trasportato da Malga Boazzo nel 1955.
La Val di Daone è meta d’elezione per l’outdoor: in estate escursioni nel Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta verso malghe e cime come il Re di Castello; in inverno è celebre per l’arrampicata su ghiaccio sulle cascate, richiamo per appassionati e atleti. Lungo la valle scorre il fiume Chiese, tra pareti rocciose e aree didattiche che raccontano fauna e geologia; da Pracul la Casa della Fauna introduce alla lettura del paesaggio e ai primi tratti di sentiero.
Salendo si incontrano i laghi e le dighe di Malga Boazzo e Malga Bissina, porta verso la spettacolare Val di Fumo, che divide le catene dell’Adamello e apre scenari unici per trekking, fotografia e natura lenta.
