Entdeckung von Cloz
Cloz, a fascinating village in the Val di Non at the foot of Monte Ózol, is divided into two historic districts: San Maria (Cloz di Fuori) and San Stefano (Cloz di Dentro). Between them stand the Church of Santo Stefano and the town hall, the true heart of community life.
The village preserves important archaeological evidence such as the prehistoric hillfort on Dosso della Croce (Bronze Age). The historic center is rich in unique architectural details: triangular overhangs, Renaissance-style mullioned windows, and large bread ovens once used by the farming community. Particularly noteworthy are the frescoes of Casa Cisi and Casa Mola, which enrich the village with artistic details.
Cloz is also the ideal starting point to explore the Parco Fluviale Novella, a spectacular canyon with suspended walkways and bridges, accessible through guided tours suitable for families. Outdoor platforms highlight selected itineraries, from circular woodland trails to panoramic routes leading to mountain farms and viewpoints.
In the surrounding area, among orchards and forests, visitors can discover the evocative Hermitage of San Martino and the shores of Lake Santa Giustina, perfect for relaxation and photography.
