Entdeckung von Auer bei Bozen

Nestled among vineyards and apple orchards, Ora (Auer in German) lies south of Bolzano, in a strategic location between the Adige plain and the foothills of the Dolomites. Its mild, Mediterranean climate favors the cultivation of grapes and apples, making it a key spot for wine tourism. The South Tyrolean Wine Road that runs through the village offers tasting experiences in both historic and modern wineries, producing renowned wines such as Gewürztraminer and Pinot Blanc.

The historic center preserves its Tyrolean charm with traditional buildings and the Parish Church of Saints Peter and Paul, dating back to the 13th century. Nearby, Castelfeder rises as a rocky hill with Roman and medieval ruins, ideal for panoramic hikes and historical exploration. From here, visitors enjoy breathtaking views over the Lower Adige Valley.
