Objevování Sachet
Sachet (BL), part of Vallada Agordina, is an authentic corner of the Dolomites Bellunesi immersed in the Valle del Biois, ideal for those seeking nature, culture and tranquility. Located at over 1,000 meters altitude, the village is surrounded by forests of firs, larches and beeches, with hiking trails leading to the Cime di Pezza, Monte Celat and Col di Frena, offering spectacular views of the Pale di San Martino and Marmolada.
The locality preserves intact its Ladin soul, visible in the tabià (wooden barns), historic fountains and houses frescoed with sacred images, which earned the valley the epithet of "Valley with saints at the windows". Among the cultural treasures stands the Church of Saints Simon and Jude Thaddeus, a national monument since 1984, with frescoes by Paris Bordone, student of Titian.
Sachet is also a keeper of gastronomic traditions such as paste da fornel and carfogn, typical holiday sweets, and local legends such as that of the sprite Ganbaretol. Its strategic position allows easy access to Falcade, Canale d'Agordo and the Sanctuary of San Romedio, as well as cycling and pedestrian paths along the Biois stream.
