Discovering Alleghe lake

Lake Alleghe, nestled at the foot of the majestic Mount Civetta, is one of the most enchanting places in the Belluno Dolomites. Its calm, crystal-clear waters mirror the surrounding peaks, creating postcard-perfect views in every season. The lake’s origin is relatively recent and wrapped in legend: in 1771, a landslide from Mount Piz blocked the valley, giving birth to this stunning lake that now offers an atmosphere of serenity and natural beauty.


In summer, Alleghe is a paradise for lovers of nature and outdoor activities. You can walk or cycle around the lake, rent pedal boats or canoes, or relax on the shore while tasting typical Dolomite dishes in local restaurants.
