Objevování Klockerkarscharte

The Klockerkarscharte (2.798 m a.s.l.), situated in the heart of the Fundres Mountains in the Zillertal Alps, is one of the wildest and most spectacular alpine passes in South Tyrol. This pass connects the Valles Valley to the Vizze Valley, crossing high-altitude environments characterized by rocky terrain, glacial lakes and rocky ridges, in a context of absolute solitude and natural beauty.

The Klockerkarscharte is a key stage of the famous Fundres High Trail (Pfunderer Höhenweg), a 70 km trek divided into 6 stages, connecting Vipiteno to Falzes. The route, reserved for experienced hikers, winds constantly above 2,000 meters in altitude and features exposed sections, rock passages, metal cables and steep trails. The area has no tourist infrastructure, with distant mountain huts and isolated alpine pastures, making the experience authentic and adventurous.

Among the most suggestive destinations along the route are the Wilder See (Wild Lake), the Brixner Hütte (Bressanone Hut) and the Wilde Kreuzspitze (White Peak, 3.135 m), which dominates the landscape with its imposing presence. The view from the Klockerkarscharte spans the Dolomites, the Ortles and even the Marmolada.

From a cultural point of view, the pass preserves historical traces linked to transhumance and natural boundaries between the valleys. Alpine huts such as the Labesebenalm and the Simile Mahd Alm testify to the rural tradition and simple hospitality of South Tyrol.
