Discovering Passo Cimabanche

Cimabanche Pass, at 1,529 meters above sea level, is a strategic alpine crossing between Cortina d’Ampezzo and Dobbiaco, nestled in the Belluno Dolomites. It’s an ideal destination for hikers, cyclists, and nature lovers.


Located on the border between Veneto and South Tyrol, Cimabanche Pass connects the Ampezzo Basin to the Puster Valley, offering breathtaking views between the Cristallo Massif and the Croda Rossa d’Ampezzo. It marks the highest point of the Munich–Venice cycle route, known for its gentle slopes and a total elevation gain of about 590 meters.


Just steps from the pass lie three alpine lakes: Lago Bianco, Lago Nero, and Lago di Rufiedo, perfect for scenic breaks or picnics.
